Who We Are
Although Todd Land Development Consultancy (TLDC) has only been in operation since 2016, the companies Director has been a cornerstone in the engineering community of the Taupo and wider regions for in excess of 28 Years and has been involved in many community changing projects from new housing developments to large scale commercial concepts, community water supplies, Cycling Strategies and many more. We are proud to lead and provide engineering solutions for the communities we live in with innovative ideas, game-changing technology and honesty. We’ve worked on dozens of projects aimed at providing innovative engineering solutions and providing a better living environment.
Chris Todd is the owner and manager of TLDC in Taupo. Chris is a senior engineer with 35 plus years of experience in consultancy, local government, civil contracting and State Owned Enterprise organisations.
PAST PROJECTS
BRENTWOOD SUBDIVISION
May 2016 - present
TLDC staff has been involved with the urban layout, engineering design, construction supervision, and land surveying for the project since it's inception in 2002. Major stormwater gullies traverse the length of the development and have presented an opportunity for the subdivision designers to create urban living space and natural outlook. The development utilised Innovative systems for underground stormwater soakage beds throughout the development to provide a means to reduce stormwater discharge from the site, and thereby protect the nationally significant Lake Taupo.
NGAROTO ESTATE
June 2016 - August 2018
This project required the consenting, design, construction and certification through to final title of a 66 lot residential subdivision in Taupo.
In greater detail, the project involved the development of bulk infrastructure including design and construction of a major Waste Water pump station, an intersection and roading for a greater residential catchment of over 1000 lots. The development was completed on time and within budget.
OCKLESTON LANDING RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT, HOBSONVILLE
August 2016 - July 2018
Provide Land Development Project Management Services for a 74 Lot Residential Subdivision, costing approximately $15million.

May 2015
Through design and engineering innovation, we assisted in the delivery of the Taupo Mega Mitre10 Store project.
